Air Pollution Training Center The Air Pollution Training Center was established in 1991 as part of CET with the support by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to provide air pollution training for state and local air pollution agency employees. The Center offers a series of courses, divided into four levels. Levels I, II, and III courses were designed to cover the minimum training requirements for EPA Air Pollution Inspectors as identified under EPA Order 3500.1. Level IV and Advanced Training are also available which go beyond EPA Order 3500.1 to address additional areas of interest. The Center was a joint program between Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Effective November 1, 2000, the Air Pollution Training Center is operated solely by Rutgers University and is no longer affiliated with CET.
