This seminar is lead by a member of the pharmaceutical industry who will describe their role as they partner with public health to increase awareness and education about vaccines. This partnership attempts to assist state and local health departments with their immunization needs for the community. Participants will learn how to work with an manufacturing entity, as they work with physicians to support the communities immunization needs around the issue of Pertussis vaccine.
Monica Adduci is a graduate of Saint Joseph's University of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she earned a Bachelors degree in Pharmaceutical Marketing. After graduation Monica took a position with the Sanofi Pasteur Pharmaceuticals, a Division of the Aventis Pasteur Pharmaceutical Company. Monica has held various positions within the company including: Biological Product Associate, where she demonstrated leadership skills and was quickly promoted to the Biological Product Specialists position. Monica conducted product presentations to Pediatric Physicians and Nurses, Urologists and public health officials. She has managed college health and public health initiatives in Massachusetts, New York, Maryland, Virginia, District of Columbia, and North Carolina. Now as the Deputy Director within the Public Health Division of Sanofi Pasteur pharmaceuticals Monica manages public health initiatives within the New Jersey and Delaware corporate region, coordinates public sector sales, and serves as a liaison with state and county public health in order to direct company resources and support.
