This year, the New York/New Jersey Education and Research Center Annual Scientific Meeting will address occupational health disparities and occupational health issues in the changing workforce.
 
GOALS:
 
  1. To provide an overview of the changing demographics of the workforce and disparities in occupational health and safety between demographic groups.
 
MEETING OBJECTIVES:
    
  1. 1.Recognize the changing demographics of the workforce, and their implications for occupational health and safety.    
  2. 2.Identify the demographic and occupational groups at greater risk of developing occupational injuries and illnesses.  
  3. 3.Understand the advantages of conducting occupational health research in cooperation with community-based organizations.  
  4. 4.Understand policy and regulatory efforts to reduce disparities,including education and enforcement.
